1 The Rock of Gibraltar

The Rock of Gibraltar is a monolithic limestone promontory located in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar, off the southwestern tip of Europe on the Iberian Peninsula. Gibraltar is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and has no contact with the Atlantic Ocean.


2 Balad Al Unnâb (Jujubes City)

Annaba is a city in the northeastern corner of Algeria near the Seybouse River. Most of the people call this city Balad Al Unnâb, i.e. the Jujubes city, because of the abundance of this fruit in the area.


3 Preveza

Preveza (Greek: Πρέβεζα) is a town in the region of Epirus, northwestern Greece, located at the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf. It is the capital of the regional unit of Preveza, which is part of the region of Epirus. Is the native city of Odysseas Androutsos, a hero of the Greek War of Independence.


4 Corniche (الكرنيش Al-Kurnīsh)

The Corniche (الكرنيش Al-Kurnīsh) is a waterfront promenade corniche in Alexandria, Egypt, running along the Eastern Harbour. It is one of the major corridors for traffic in Alexandria. It runs for over ten miles and ends by the Montaza Palace.


5 Desierto de las Palmas

Desert de les Palmes (Desierto de las Palmas), also known as Serra del Desert de les Palmes is an 18.8 km long mountain range in the Plana Alta comarca, Valencian Community, Spain. Its highest point is Bartolo (729 m).


6 Scilla e Cariddi

"Scilla and Cariddi" is named after the Straits between Reggio and Messina. The two places at the mouth of the Strait of Messina were famous in ancient times for the difficulties that the sailors had to overcome when they came in that part of the sea. Scilla and Cariddi were two goddesses causing the whirlpools and the rough sea that killed the sailors in the ancient times.


7 Le Mourillon

Le Mourillon is a small seaside neighborhood to the east of the French city of Toulon, near the entrance to the Rade or roadstead. It was once a fishing village, and then became the home of many of the officers of the French fleet and to part of the naval dockyard.


8 Velipojë

Velipoja is situated on the estuary of the River Buna (the only navigable river of Albania), where it flows into the Adriatic Sea while making border with Montenegro. Its economy is based on arable land and livestock, sheep and cattle, and some fishing.
